1. Deodorize your refrigerator
A refrigerator should always be kept clean to preserve the food that is stored in it. Not only should it look clean, but there should also be no foul smell within it. If you want to get rid of any odors present in your fridge, keeping an open can of baking soda in the lowest shelf of the fridge can help eliminate any unpleasant smells.
2. Cleaning stainless steel objects
Everyone knows that stainless steel appliances are practically a fingerprint magnet. It is all too easy to get smudges onto any stainless steel object. In such cases, cleaning with a dry lint-free cloth and some baby oil will take care of any smudges and fingerprints effectively.
3. Removing smell from damp clothes after washing
If left in the washer for more than a day, especially during the summers, freshly-washed clothes will begin to smell. In order to get rid of the unpleasant odors in your clothes, rewash them in warm water with 1/2 cup of ammonia. This technique gets the smell out of the clothes better than if you were to wash it with ordinary detergent only.
4. Remove chewing gum stains from clothes
For an easy way to remove chewing gum stains from clothes, simply freeze the stain or put an ice cube on it, then crack and scrape off the residue without any damage to the clothes.
5. Unclog your drain
To unclog your drain using household items, first pour 1/4 cup of baking soda down the drain and then 1/4 cup of vinegar. When the bubbling has stopped, wash it down with a bucket of hot boiling water.
