What is origami? Well, many of you must be making representations of various objects like aero planes, ships, flowers etc. by folding paper in order to entertain your children without knowing the actual name of this art. You would be surprised to know that this folding of paper is what we call origami.

As to its history, origami is an ancient Japanese art. In the beginning paper was very expensive. Only the rich could afford it. Samurai warriors used to exchange gifts with each other with a form made of folded paper called noshi.
