In order to enjoy a healthy life, it is extremely important that you keep yourself mentally and emotionally stable. Problems like aggressiveness, depression, headaches etc. have become very common in our society. One of the major factors leading to such abnormal behavior is lack of proper rest. Benjamin Franklin, who is one of the well-known founders of America once said,
''Early to bed, early to rise, makes you healthy, wealthy and wise.''
These golden words are actually the key to a successful life. Many of us fail to realize its importance. However, if you follow this routine for a few days you will be astonished to see the brilliant effects that it produces.
If you go to bed early, you are able to rise early in the morning. Early morning is the most beautiful time of the day. Its freshness imparts a cooling effect on your mood. Some people even do meditation at that time which gives a glowing radiance to their personality. If our day begins at a pleasant note, then obviously we will be able to accomplish our tasks in a better way; be they our household chores or our business meetings. You will reach work in time. There would be no hustle and bustle and hence no stress. It is a common practice that when people are over-stressed, either they miss their meals or they don't eat good. Both these situations are equally harmful. Besides this, people who do not go to bed in time and don't rise early, never get free time to do some interesting activity of their choice. This makes them dull and adversely affects their performance because they become bored of doing the monotonous work. They do not get time for self reflection.
Hence proper rest nourishes your mind which in turn makes you a healthy citizen and we all know that only healthy citizens make a progressive society. Therefore, it is vitally important that we give awareness to our young generation about the long lasting effects of following a healthy routine.
