Freemasons(new name for knight templers) kicked out from France:
In 1307, king Philip of France arrested them for denial of Christ, homosexuality, and idol worship as well as magic. In 1314, pope Claymont the fifth declared all Templers as heretics to Christianity. He ordered all of their properties to be seized their leader jack de molay was captured and burnt. At this point in time it seemed that knight Templers were going to be finished forever but the events taking place in Scotland gave them a glimmer of hope.
